Cara L. McCloud, LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the State of New Jersey, license number 44SC05473700. The process of obtaining a LCSW involves successfully completing 1,920 supervised hours in the field post-Masters providing therapeutic services under the direction of an LCSW clinician, as well as passing the State clinical social work boards.

I obtained my Masters of Social Work with a concentration in children and families from Rutgers University School of Social Work. This accredited program is well-known in the field for meeting the highest standards of clinical training. Obtaining a Masters from this program required several internship experiences in the field and spending 1,125 hours providing direct service under the training of licensed professionals in the field of social work. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Felician College.

My work experience has encompassed women's issues, adolescents, trauma, bereavement, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationships and children.

In addition to my private practice, I work as a School Social Worker at Windsor Learning Center in Pompton Lakes, NJ where I provide counseling services to children with developmental disabilities.
